i bet the colors aren't as crisp as with incansdescent of even linear fluroescent. Sad I'm not really that much of a CFL guy lol. They're pretty interesting looking but I've heard very bad things about them. Plus i always thought the plastic base on the lamp was a little sketchy. Laughing

Actually these (or at least the orange one (which I have) are very bright and vibrant...

@ GEsoftwhite100watts, they are indeed very bright! The green one IMO seems to be more intense to the eyes in person than the orange one.
