That guy doesn't seem to have anything available for purchase. But I did buy a set of lenses for this light, glass ones, that will work perfectly for this.
Where can I get visors for this? If I want to restore it I would like new visors.
Hmm, the visors don't look that bad to be honest, you should see how my CGE ped looked when I first got it.
Anyways here's a set of lenses that should match and fit your light...there are also NOS lenses on eBay too at $16 per lens but used should be fine. As for visors they show up from time to time on eBay.

And as for the visors, During the transit from the intersection (where I took this picture) To the yard the visors got a bit banged up, so they aren't in as good condition as they were in this photo. I do want new visors to make this signal look nicer, I Just dunno where to get one.
You wouldnt have to go through the time/money to make your own. You'd have to get the proper dimensions, and access to a plasma cutter that can CNC out the proper size and shape. And in order for the CNC to work you'll need CAD drawings the computer can read. It isn't as basic as roll and done for most shops. Then it has to be painted and rolled into shape with the clips welded or riveted on. Thats a pretty costly hassle when visors...or any LFE parts are as common as dirt. You get visors from a variety of sources including the one I just said...or other sources like ebay, etc
Up to you though, just trying to find you the most cost effective and logical route
I got the lenses today. Funny thing is they actually are MATCHING ones! The ones I got were TL-4777 ones with the same pattern that my plastic ones on the signal have.
The ones you linked Joe were cheap, for all three lenses they were 30 dollars with free shipping. And they are glass and look nice.
TL-47 77 is the correct glass lens for the LFE head and common to see in Eagles and older Econolites. They're the longest continually produced glass lens. The plastic ones were made specifically for LFE using injection mold copy of the original glass tooling. LFE's branding is on the rim of the plastic ones The plastic version was discontinued when LFE merged with Eagle Signal in 93

The light that comes from this is DEFIANTLY brighter then it was with the old plastic lenses. The new lenses on this thing practically makes it look LED!
Do the plastic ones get dull over time and not let light come out of it as much?
Glass is definitely superior over plastic lenses. Plastic does dull over time and get quite brittle with years of heat/cold cycling from the lamp as well as UV exposure from the sun. I 've dealt with plastic lenses that were so badly worn that they literally crumbled to dust from handling them. So we used the worn ones for frisbees at the last two traffic collector meetups!!
Why is the plastic green lens actually green but the glass one is a blue color? I know why it is BLUE but why make the plastic one green instead of blue? I don't get it.

I might get some new traffic lamps soon, these ones who knows when they will burn out.
To answer your question about the color difference.... the earlier plastic lenses of the 1970s and 1980s did not meet the chromacity specifications like the glass ones did. The blue is added to help with color blind issues. Later plastic lenses meet the spec.
I haven't heard of a 62 watt signal lamp but I wouldn't rule it out either. 69 watt is most likely what is in there. They'll last a while in a home environment. I have gone through 2 lamps in 15 years of collecting traffic signals.
When I got this signal the red lamp was burned out. I had an extra 69 watt lamp that I used. I dunno how long they will last because they have been in service for a while.
I just use standard 60W clear lamps. I actually may get some glass lenses when i restore my traffic light. My plastic lenses look sort of faded when lit from behind, though when its off, the lenses look fine. The green is the worst in terms of dullness. the red is more pink than red. The yellow appears to be fine though. Are incandescent signal colors typically more drab than LED ones or should I invest in a new set of glass ones so the color is better?
My 12-8-8 has 60w clear fan bulbs in the 8" sections which seem to be the closest I've found to the 69w signal lamps. The 12" section uses a 135w signal lamp. It has plastic lenses but the lenses are in good condition so the colours are still bright.

Mike, I personally would get a set of glass lenses for your signal since they are usually pretty cheap for a 12" set and since your lenses are missing the gaskets.
I've actually never seen one of those here, even signals with glass lenses are super rare in the wild. Plastic lenses were the most common during the incandescent days, and now LED is the most common here.

On my McCain signal the lenses aren't really dull, they work fine, but the color isn't as magnificent as the glass lenses on this signal.
And an upside on the LED modules is dirt can't get inside, sometimes dirt inside the signal can make it look dimmer.
But with our signals we don't have to worry about dirt. xD
