Got this from Graybar. I was just checking the place out when I was hanging out with a friend (He joined this site) I saw this guy on display and on sale! It was 114 dollars opposed to the original 175 dollar price. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. xD
Second time I got something for sale there at Graybar, they said they had lots of these and were trying to get rid of them.
my favorite current light is either the M-400A2 or M-250R2. My favorite from AE/ITT/T&B/AEL is the model 13 and the 13-000 being a close second. I found out Joe M doesn't have a 13-000! That's one of the few lights he's still after.
Oh yeah! i always forget about the silverliners lol. i do like the OV-15, though i prefer the original westinghouse design over the cooperized OV-15. I prefer the "enlongated nose" OV-25 as well too. Not a huge fan of the 1000W cobraheads since they'd be too bulky for me to store anyways but i like the old door M-1000 best.
AE 115 is based on the design of the original AE 13-000....they didn't change as much as the other fixtures, even the latch remains the same (or almost, since they have made the newer AE latch use a little less metal but still same basic shape and concept!
the latch on all the AELs is more or less the same as the original AEs... I still like the 13-000 better though. It does look different than the 115, though it's probably the rounder glass refractor that makes the difference... I think the 115 looks more like the 113 than the 13-000. All that changed was the door and the fact that there are heat sinks on top. 2-bolt fitters became standard too with 4-bolt as optional...
The 13-000 was longer then the 113 or 115. Between the 113 and 115 I think I prefer the 115 because of the door. I dunno why the 125 has such a different design, they should make the design more like a bigger 115.
i like the 113 over the 115. I dislike the enlarged buldge on the door and that little pieces sticking out below the NEMA tag for the optional level. I dislike the circle pads on the Cooper OVZ and OVX for the level as well. Come to think of it, GE is the only one not to use a door mouted level on the small fixtures...
I am not sure how a leveler can be mounted on those flat circles. Do they drill holes then screw them on? I am also still not sure how on the 115 one could be mounted..
I think the level is a pocket level. (what i mean is the lineman probably keeps a standard circle level on hand and presses it up against the pad (or notches in this case) to check for proper leveling and then puts it away again. the older GEs (my M-400, though not my M-250A) have a circular pad on top where the pocket level would go. I'm pretty sure your M-400A FCO would have the same, though the M-400A2 and M-400R2 may have a + like the M-250R2. The plus symbol is also used on the new M-400/A

The 113 has those two level bumps on the bottom as well, I don't mind those and actually I prefer the little bumps the a huge leveling pad. xD
I agree with you that the two bumps are better looking than the flat circular pad. IIRC, the 13 and 25 had the pad (the ITT versions at least...)
