Here is the metal halide lamp lit up. And a close shot, as you can tell it's one of those weird shape lamps. Not sure why they are shaped this way but I thought I'd get a shot of the lamp.

Looks like the top half is Ellipsoid shape and the bottom half is A-shaped bulb to me Confused

It's GE's new envelope to replace their ED28 shape for the mogul base 175 and 250W MH lamps. GE did this to save glass. It's a unique shape IMO but these lamps are very very junky and tend to go "boom" prematurely.

Those are the worst lamps possible! If we get 6 months we're lucky. But still neat shape.

Are 400w still ED37?

as far as i know, PSMH lamps are still ED/BT28 and bigger lamps are still ED37.
