2x2 FB32T8/???
Okay. I have no idea what's up with these. There's another fixture that are as pink as this one. There's a 2x4 troffer with 4 F32T8/35Ks in there in the same room. I suspect they're mercury starved but what are the odds of 4 lamps going in the same shade and intensity of pink?

It's basically an exercise room at the doctor's. There's a machine that reads your heart beats. So they don't explain why there're pink lights in there.

I've seen actual pink lamps used as well as pink tube guards and panels, but those were in bars & nightclubs, not doctor's offices. Mercury-starved lamps are probably quite a bit dimmer than pink-coloured lamps.

Those look pretty dim to me so I'd guess them to be mercury starved. Does a mercury starved lamp make the ballast run hotter?

It's dim cuz I underexposed. These are quite bright!

@FGS:
So pink lamps then Shocked ? (or maybe pink colored plastic in the fixture?)
I've never seen a colored 'U' lamp before

@streetlight98:
depends on the ballast...most T8 instant-start ballasts will run mercury starved lamps without being much (if any) hotter...

Maybe they were dipped or sprayed. I have some yellow fluorescent tubes that are WW with a yellow coloring

I've seen pink T8s before in the supermarket lighting the deli and meat sections.

Yep those would be "Display Pink" lamps ... sold for just such purposes.

Looks like Argon glow on these bulb in result of the Mercury starved bulb. Here is the one I found posted at Mercury Starved FB32-T8 Fluorescent Lights (x2).

looks like its probably mercury starved, probably alto F32T8 lamps, seems the U bent lamps have had bad batches more frequently
