Ahh, this is the first time I've seen or heard of a PC socket with more than three pins. At least it looks like it's backwards compatible with traditional PCs.
Not any cree's as of yet. Any LED's we've installed were the cooper OVF and the GE evolve. Of course I prefer the OVF because it still at least looks like a traditional cobrahead.
I agree. Too bad the cobrahead LEDs never caught on. Hubbell had made an LED retrofit for cobraheads. Basically, you removed the refractor, reflector, and socket/bracket, installed the module on the door in place of the refractor, and wired it directly to the terminal block in place of the HID ballast, which you could either remove or just bypass. Sounded like a really awesome thing, but never lasted because they pulled them from the market. There are very few cobrahead retrofits out there because everyone is all about replace, replace, replace. Let's waste as much materials as we can.
