Wow look at that messy wiring, if I had to do a setup like this, I would have put the wire through the opening of the slipfitter instead of cutting a rim of the body and through it...

I've seen this before too, very tacky looking. Luckily I've only seen it done to OVXs so it's not a huge loss.

Even drilling a hole in the ballast door would've been a better solution! That way rain won't get inside...

There are ways to make things right, but many people are just too lazy...

I never see anything like this here, Xcel energy is very neat with their wiring. They make sure to do it right. They don't get lazy with it. Even with TEMPORARY Installations. It's all neat.

Well they redid the wire entry on those fixtures I linked to but that overhead feed is still there, I guess they never bothered to run a new feed underground.

And I've only saw that in Toronto, I've never seen the utilities elsewhere do something like that.
