Mike, the first pocket size calculators first came out in 1970 in Japan and soon became available around the world. They had electronic calculators in the 60s though but they were much bigger.

Ahh so this is one of the first pocket-sized electronic calculators. Smile What was used before electronic calculators? Were those rods with beads still used? (pardon my ignorance)
