The most difficult incandescent fo fluorescent conversion ever
This used to be an adjustable length incandescent fixture. It is now a preheat 22 watt circline fluorescent fixture. It's no longer adjustable though, since I used the pulley bulb to house the ballast instead, but it's still pretty cool. A little bit of mid century modern action for you guys!

That's pretty cool! My friend's mom used to have a light like that hanging over their dining room table. It's been replaced by a ceiling fan.

How was it the hardest to convert...please do explain!

Probably finding a place for the ballast, then gutting the pulley bulb and getting the ballast to fit in it, then finding a way so that the original mounting spud attached to the original cluster socket would hold the diffuser, then the fact that the pipe spuds that held the pulley bulb were odd sized and one of the plastic nuts stripped so I had to use a different pipe spud and remove one of the originals so I could use a different nut and do it that way, it was all around not that easy, but eventually I pulled it off. The only thing I think I should do is maybe find a different cap nut to hold the diffuser on cause this one looks like it was made to be pulled, and the fixture is no longer adjustable so people shouldn't pull it. Just something to reduce that temptation.
