Mercury lamps for upcoming EU ban!
I was lucky to get 22 new GE Kolorlux 125 watt (most common wattage in Europe probably) mercury vapor lamps at half their retail price at an auction site. The European Union has decided to ban all MV lamps by 2015, so I bought them.

Yep you can still buy Mercury Lamps in Europe with No Problems, I too have stocked up ready for the Ban, I can't understand Why they are Banning Mercury Lamps as they are the most reliable discharge Lamp I know of unlike HPS which gives a yucky Yellow Glow and cycles at the EOL and Unlike Metal Halides which can suddenly Explode throwing very hot fragments which cam cause Fire or Injury. I have never seen a Mercury lamp explode

All the Best

Colin
