This doesn't look like a fluorescent lamp. And that's not a mercury vapor lamp. It looks like a MH lamp with a bad capacitor. a MV arc tube is longer. It looks like a Widelite brand floodlight.
I think it's a /C lamp. The reason the arctube looks short is because it's very blackened at the ends. This fixture has been dayburning for at least two years. The color of the lamp in this picture appears the same to the naked eye.

This lamp has a worn out /C phosphor.....a worn out /C gives out a yellowish color with a bit of green....in it....I donno why in this pic it appears greener than when Brian sent me this pic in text message...it was more yellow from my text message....

Imagine seeing some NOS cases of /X and /Y lamps.
What does /C look like??? Get a Sprite soda bottle (the green one) and look at a lit /DX through it!
