Vintage GE & Westy 40 Watt Ceramic Coated Blue Bulbs

A lucky yard sale find in 2011, the guy that had the sale had a big bucket of these 40 watt blues for a dime a piece and I gave him a buck for 10 of them! He also had old cloth covered light strings that had the inline screw cap sockets with the insulation piercing pins (made by Paulding) for another couple bucks more. I removed about a dozen of those sockets from the wiring since the wire was very brittle but most of the sockets were in good condition and discarded the old wires. And all the bulbs work :-) the Westy bulbs have the older 'W' logo (pre May 1960) instead of the ' dot W' (modern logo).
