Vintage GE Electric Analog Wall Clock
I love this thing. I found it in my grandparents' basement with years of dust and grime on it. They let me keep it so I took it home and scrubbed the thing down and it's like new! I got this over a year ago. Keeps perfect time and is SILENT! I hate the tick-tock sound from battery-powered clocks. The street sign is an actual street sign that my grandma had ordered for me when I was little. It's a standard 6" sign, non-reflective, with vinyl letters. Cranston used to use these until MUTCD banned non-reflective signs and they started using 9" tall reflective street lights. This is double-sided and made to the same dimensional specs that real streets signs are made to.

Nice clock and sign! I like how on these clocks, the second hand moves smoothly. I could also use on of those street signs with my name on it for my room lol.

Thanks! I have since unplugged the clock since I'm going to Florida on vacation. No sense in putting hours on the motor if I won't even be home and god forbid something happened to this while we were away, since this is a very old clock with a tiny plug on the end. (although something could go wrong even while we're not away and wouldn't get caught in time since a good portion of the day, no one's home).

Perhaps you can put new wire to replace it on your vintage clock. By the way, nice street name sign you have here Smile

I was thinking of adding a fused cord to this but I kinda want to keep it original. When I move out I'll make a contraption to plug this into that has a fuse for this. It barely uses any electricity at all. Just 3W.
