Yeah i saw it! BTW, the drawings are just assignments from 8th grade. I'd have posted more recent things but so far thsi year it's been an 16"X20" stuff so I'd use up my whole board. Also if you're wondering where the duplicates are, they're behind the top tag (the second blue "25" is under the first and same for the X1s and red 17s etc).
pretty much LOL all my lights have their own cord isntalled on them so the hardest part is getting it out of its spot without disturbing all the other lights. I store my lights with lamps too. They're also stored with a shorting cap too except for the M-400, which is stored with the red cover it was shipped from the factory in.
All my lights have their own cord and lamp too. I usually assign a lamp to a fixture so that it's just plug and play to fire any of them up. My gumball is the only without a cord since I have to make a new socket assembly for it and I have to wait for the parts to come in. I already have a lamp for it though...a 200w mogul based IF Duro-Test I picked up a Restore.
@ Joe; I'm the same way lol. My M-400 is stored/used with the 2010 ED37 /DX Sylvania lamp (and now will be used outdoors with the Mh lamp from Bryan) my OV-10 is stored and sometimes used with the 1990 Sylvania 175W lamp it came with and is stored with the Ripley PC that I hate myself for modifying, as it actually worked until i dropped it trying to repaint it. Joe M. was very kind to send me a few Ripleys from '89. The pre-90s Ripley are really my all-time favorite PCs. They just looks so cool! I love the squarish corners on the window though the newer ones jsut aren't the same. I heard newer Ripley units are sort of junky though maybe it's not true since I don't own any newer ones. One works but is very unsensitive. Both do buzz so they are repairable with a new photoeye. I don't think all CdS photoeyes are made equal though so i'm not sure which to use.
The M-250A is stored with the 1994 ET23.5 Sylvania lamp and a gutted dayburning DTL brown PC (previously stored with a 1977 FP shorting cap of the same color) the OV-25 is stored with a 200W mogul base GE incandescent and a GE shorting cap (i know ironic how I happened to start storing a WESTINGHOUSE light with a GE lamp and shorting cap. )
You got it! Hopefully when i get my own house i can egt my hands on a 400W MV paintcan ballast for it. My "ideal house" will have an in-ground pool and the M-400 will be on one end and the OV-25 with a 40W ballast can will be on the other. Or course my "Dream house" will have a inground pool with a greenhouse over it with MH/MV highbays. The pool minus the greenhouse seemes more feasable. The OV-10 and M-250A would light the parking area/driveway. Any additional lights could easily by incorporated too.
I like that idea...someday when I inherit this house I have ideas where my 400w MH highbays will go...
Will your four streetlights be in dusk-to daw service?
The OV-10, M-250A, and other 100/175W lights would be run off individual PCS, but I'd have a electromagnetic timer in the basement that shut off power to them at let's say 12AM and turned power back on at let's say 5AM then the PCs would turn them off at dawn and back on at dusk to get the most accurate on/off times. the pool area light would be on a switch. There would be small wattage lights along the perimeter of the yard that would be contolled by switches but the lights would have PCs in eliminate flase switching and to provide dusk-to-dawn lighting if need be. IMO you can go wrong with PCs. Even with a relay, in the event of a malfunction, you still have the light's PC as back-up.
My yard would be off-road totally hidden from view of the road in a rural area with a long driveway leading from the road to my house. the low-wattage lights would run on a 240V circut (since that's likely what voltage lights I'd have access to) with the 400W pool lights being 120V.
Hopefully someday i can get either a Form 175 powerpack, a MV Boston Wheeler, or more OV-10 IBs. i'd loev to get my hands on a Form 400 powerpack someday as well. I guess we all want lights we don't have lol. This is just my dream house. I doubt I'd ever have the kind of money to do all that unless i won the lottery a couple times.
