Bridge Lighting
|
Here's a few pic's of the current construction of a replacement 10 lane bridge,so far the concrete support column can be seen with each section being poured. It will replace the existing Port Mann Bridge which opened in 1964, it will be taken down after the completion of the new bridge sometime in 2013.The bridge orginally had fluorescent lighting continously along the railing each side, light poles replaced the fluorescent lighted railings in the late 80's. About 6 years ago the bridge was widened a bit to allow an extra lane in the opposite direction, and the newer short truss arms with GE M-400A3 FCO's that can be seen on the bridge replaced Hubbell RLG's.
