yep i paid $15 for the bad boy! i will have a pic soonish when i get the chance. also i was surprised by the philips bulbs, the restore didnt have much for a while until this day! much of what i got is basically the same as above except i got a clear 200w.

Was this the same ReStore in Redlands that we went to last Wednesday ?

I remembered preheat shoplite which you showed me but didn't notice the Philips "Square" bulbs (was checking a box of circuit breakers that day)

The last time i went to my local restore wasa few weeks ago. They don't usually have too much of interest (which is good or I'd be buying it all lol) but when they do it's generally cheap, especially lamps and fluorescent fixtures. most lamps are 25 cents each and flourescent fixtures are typically 5 bucks (the undercabinet ones are normally 2 bucks though). I've never gotten a loose lamp larger than 2ft there though. My 3ft and four of my 4ft lamps from the restore were installed in fixtures.

how come the 100W lamps are rated for fewer hours than the 40w lamps?

My local Restores can be hit or miss with some days where there's too much stuff for me to buy and some other days where I come out dry. I find the Restores in rural areas tend to have more good stuff though.

Awesome find! I mentioned 2 packages say made in USA! Is otherwise made in Canada? Cool
Silverliner14B   [May 04, 2013 at 07:14 PM]
yep the others are canadian. the 100w directors are from the philippines and the 75w directors are from mexico.

My mother's house (built in the late 80s) had some (60w?) Directors that were from the Phillipenes.
Some might even still be there and working...the lights they were in weren't used terribly often.

Went there last week and all but a few 40w were gone.
Silverliner14B   [Jun 10, 2013 at 03:40 AM]
there are also a few 75s left. talk about hoarding activity eh?
joe_347V   [Jun 10, 2013 at 07:03 AM]
I wonder if homeowners are stocking on them since they can't find incandescents in stores anymore.
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Sep 09, 2014 at 03:54 PM]
I know I would be...I use CFLs anyway but grab (free or cheap) incandescents whenever I can just in case...
