BetaLEDs dying and dimming

This is part of the LED test zone in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle for 400w HPS replacement, using BetaLED fixtures installed in summer 2010. The light on the far left is a Leotek Green Cobra, which became the chosen fixture for the 400w HPS replacements almost everywhere else in Seattle. This particular one replaced a completely failed Beta. You can see the Beta fixture just to the right of it has lost half of its elements, and the one on the right of the photo has dimmed and yellowed (due to yellowing of the plastic lenses around the emitters, and perhaps also some of the normal lumen depreciation of the diodes & their phosphors). It's too bad...I liked the design of these fixtures better than the "toilet seat" style Green Cobras.
