These remind me of those parking lot lights in front of the Walmart at Square One. They're square though but they have a similar refractor and sloped bottom.
gailgrove   [Jul 21, 2011 at 11:38 PM]
Yeah they do resemble those a bit too.

those are cool , yet strange looking Razz i have never seen them in a pic or real life
what HID light source is inside?
gailgrove   [Jul 22, 2011 at 12:16 AM]
Thanks, these are all HPS. I had never seen them until my trip to Montreal (Quebec) three years ago, I think it is basically the only place that uses them.

i prefer these to shoeboxes...at least they have some character!
gailgrove   [Jul 22, 2011 at 12:36 AM]
They look a lot better than shoe boxes!
joe_347V   [Jul 22, 2011 at 12:56 AM]
I wonder if these were ever used as parking lot lights.
A_lights   [Jul 22, 2011 at 01:08 AM]
@ Devonte: that gave me a new idea! triangle boxes with drop refractors!

Niall, I've seen a lot of those in service in Quebec city too! I even have a pic or two of fixtures like this.
gailgrove   [Jul 22, 2011 at 03:40 AM]
Hey Vince, I'd like to see those pictures.
TiCoune66   [Jul 22, 2011 at 04:03 AM]
I'll have to find them first LOL.
A_lights   [Jul 22, 2011 at 04:07 AM]
@joe: yeah i have seen something similar but all FCO, no drop refractors
joe_347V   [Jul 22, 2011 at 06:11 AM]
Interesting, do you have a pic?
gailgrove   [Jul 22, 2011 at 02:12 PM]
@ Joseph Yeah, I wonder if Powerlite made those fixtures too? Shocked
joe_347V   [Jul 22, 2011 at 02:30 PM]
I'm not sure, I haven't really seen them up close yet.
gailgrove   [Jul 22, 2011 at 04:27 PM]
I've seen them up close, but it was on a rainy, dull day. I'm pretty sure they have B2255 refractors.
A_lights   [Jul 22, 2011 at 06:30 PM]
@ Joe_347V: No but i can get one sometime

The fixture on Google StreetView from Revere. I'd see some of these in Montreal but they are rare now.
