Brothers Together For One Last Time
|
After sharing a pole together for about 15 years, both lights got a nice restoration but now will be parting ways. The M-400A2 on the left will be be going far, far, away to a mysterious land called BC and the one on the right will remain with me. For the pic, Darren's A2 on the left has the shallow glass from my M-400 split door.
Also, note the two photocells. They're both NOS from 1997 (the age of the fixtures). I figured it was only right to show these guys with NOS photocells of the same age after they went through a restoration and look like new! These originally didn't have PC sockets and instead had black caps that snapped into the PC socket hole in the housing. All I had to do was pop out the black cap on each light and installed the PC socket.

Darren's looks like it feels a bit sad about leaving.
I suppose they might reunite if either of you decide to meet up in the future.
@ Darren; ah thanks. It looks better on the computer than it does in person. I decided not to put a clearcoat on my M-400A2 this time around. I wasn't going to risk having to sand it down and paint it a third time.
@ George; thanks! Yeah they both have a nice new lease on life and ready to relax for a while lol. Mine will be in the shed probably until I move out and Darren's will be safe in his collection. These are really cool too because they'r 320W PSMH. And now they have PC sockets too.
These fixtures are special because they're PSMH. the M-400A2 was never made in PSMH, only HPS, MV, and probably probe start MH.
