Toronto Transit Commission Map from Joe
|
From my visit to Canada. Joe included this in the box of goodies. Perhaps you remember this map being in his room backlit with strip lights? Well here it is! Looks great! thanks Joe. :-) This is supposed to be a slide-in panel inside the subway car that is backlit by F72T12 slimline lamps. I won't be backlighting it but someday maybe I'll backlight it with a couple F20 strips or something...
Also you can see a 1982 Westinghouse Lifeguard on the shelf with my MICHAEL plank, which has a couple GE nameplates taped to the sides. The spare tag that came with my M-250R and a flawless December 1960 GE M-400 tag, which is about twice as thick as the black-and-silver one. The black and silver one is about as thick as the heavy duty Reynold's Wrap (aluminum foil) sold today.

Don't feel bad, I found a few stuffed animals and childhood toys in particular that have sentimental value when I went through my late mother's house after she passed that I refuse to get rid of.
Here's mine, I have some tandem mounted T5 strips behind it backlighting it. On the subway cars the map slides into the curved light diffusers. Inside each 6' section is a F72T12 lamp.
