2002 Fisher Pierce Photocell
Made October 15, 2002. It's a model 7671C-MCBD-70537. It's one of the nice pre-Sun-Tech electronic Fisher Pierce photocells. The pre-Sun-Tech Fisher Pierces were the BEST! After Sun-Tech took over, they just got worse and worse...

Cool. This is a Fisher Pierce Night Star. It was their electronic series. Sunrise Technologies still offers this series today, however they're much different than the one you have here. Now they're just like any other electronic photocontrol today.

Yeah this one is cool because the circuit board is upside down and mounted toward the top of the unit. Interesting that they still used a visor too even though the silicon eye was not covered by it at all. Just for looks I guess lol.

Maybe they mounted the circuit board towards the top to help prevent sunlight from constantly shining on it, damaging it. And the shield could be there to help keep sunlight out, off of the electronics. Leaving only the eye exposed.

Possibly. UV is the enemy!
