maybe this is the canadian 125w fixture? it seems this one is an E-23.5 bulb with a medium base, the glass well seems to be formed to allow a medium base to fit on.
@michael, look at the top of the bulb at the socket. note the glass is angled as it steps down in diameter to allow the medium base to fit on. the mogul ones have the same diameter for the base and bulb neck, although the chinese sylvania 100w mogul mercs still have a bit of a step down.
I can definitely see it too. It's not the first time I see 125W mercury lamps in Canada. I found one back in 2008, and Joe has a few pics of those as well. They often seem to be run on 100W gear though...
Hmm, it looks like Dave is right, I compared my 100w mogul, 125w medium, and 175w mogul mercs and it looks like 125w is the closest match.
I'm not sure why but 125w mercs were more commonly used in Canada for some reason. I have a pic of an old Westy one in a old Powerlite flood as well as one I got from Rona a few years ago.

Now to find out who made this fixture.
