That'd be nice to find some older powerlites maybe on ebay as they seem to mostly be gone now. The B2213 is probably the same size if not linger than a F40T12 or F32T8 lamp.

Not even a used one? I know an NOS one wouldn't be found unless there's a sealed off portion of the MTO stock room. Wouldn't you love to find a room sealed off for 50+ years filled with unopened boxes of mercury cobraheads, lamps, truss arms, etc? Unfortunatly thats only a dream and the odds of that are next to none.

That would be a wonderful dream but that's all it will ever be, there is possibly that some utility company or contractor could have some NOS lights but they'd likely be R7s, R47s R37s or B2255s not anything from the 60s.

Powerlite lumes aren't that common on eBay, the only thing I found was this ballast housing.

And yeah the B2213 is around four feet long, the older Powerlites are mostly gone from the streets now but you can still see them in older parking lots.

I'm betting some supply house here probably has a NOS old Powerlite cobra or two stashed in the back.

Is the person selling that insane or what? They are asking $150 for it plus $200 for shipping.

Stuff from the early 70's still pops up on the bay. Take my M-400 for example. The instruction sheet was posted on the auction, but I never got it. Probably got water damage as the seller mentioned the origional boxes had moisture damage. come to think of it, I've never polished my M-400 as long as I have had it. It could definetly use a goor polish to make it shine again.

I wonder is NOS Powerlite cobras ever showed up at Restore before.

I'm sure it would be expensive as thrift stores and the like seem to base their prices on wieght and size...... Other times the pricing is just random.

Well I can picture a used one, that salvage yard with the B2213s had about 20 150 watt HPS R47 at it!

Not really, I got some nice 60's mercs at Restore for 5 bucks each, HPS chokes for a buck each, MH ballasts for 15 bucks each, and 1kW lamps for 50 cents there.

lamps and ballasts aren't four feet long and don't weigh over 50 pounds.

Well I got all but four of my lights for free.

I only payed for the shipping of my M-400 and the whole price for my yardblaster (like $52 for the M-400 shipping and $36 for the entire yardblaster, arm, lamp, and PC)

I bet MTO has some nice stuff in their yard, the yard near 400 and Sheppard still has mercury clamshells.

Well.. you can't get brand new/unused fixtures for free. xD I have.. Three unused and never put-in-service cobraheads, and those I got off of ebay. (And one for discount at Graybar) Other than that I didn't really PAY PAY for my other fixtures.. The rest I would count as "Payed for" were from members on this site. Like that 115 from Darren.

But just to say, if you want to get streetlights from a yard you will only get what was USED around the area. xD

I don't mind getting some of the Unistyles, OV 15s, Powerlites, mini gumballs here.

I'd bet if some contractors had NOS light I could talk them into giving them to me, I almost got a new in box 115 from a contractor (that was set just in their stock room) for free, however the guy's boss didn't like that idea.
