My red LED filament lamp in my room at my hostel
|
I bought it as a nightlight but didn't expected that at 8W it would be as bright as it is, as it is a red lamp.
Colored LED filament lamps are intended to be used in festoons instead of the colored incandescent lamps, which were usually 40W lamps here in Israel, and much dimmer. They didn't intended to be used for color washing instead of colored PAR38 lamps, dichroic halogen lamps, colored fluorescent and MH lamps.
This lamp also heating up considerably, probably because the ruby coloring absorbs convection heat from the LED filaments by the helium inside.
To get this picture, I hot restruck my Osram NAV-TS 70W Super 4Y Slovakia HPS lamp in my tracklight, hence the glow you see in my tracklight.
