Two cameras function as video detection cameras that place calls for green lights.
One is mounted on the left turn signal on the "Main Street" display to detect left turns and display a green arrow. The camera mounted on top the cabinet is detection "Side Street" straight through AND left turn traffic.
The video processor in the cabinet picks up the video image from the cameras and if something enters the detection area I set up with software. If it senses detection it'll tell the controller to call for a green light on the appropriate phase.
This is EXACTLY how it works at the intersections we pull up to. The video cannot be recorded and used for "red light running"
