The lower picture looks indeed like a gas station lighting fixture on a light pole.
In a sonol gas station i had, i saw the total opposite: A road lantern mounted on the ceiling like a gas station lighting fixture (Picture).
prawnman88   [May 15, 2011 at 03:56 PM]
that is just nasty
GullWhiz   [May 15, 2011 at 04:29 PM]
Almost reminds me of my pic here but this one sure looks worse! Lets see if anyone can come up with something even more BIZARRE!
gailgrove   [May 15, 2011 at 05:15 PM]

xmaslightguy   [May 15, 2011 at 05:18 PM]

Sometimes I wonder what were they thinking when they put this stuff up Rolling Eyes Confused
gailgrove   [May 15, 2011 at 09:18 PM]
I think they forgot the thinking stage and went directly to the "doing" part Rolling Eyes
joe_347V   [May 15, 2011 at 09:21 PM]
I guess that's what happened when they rigged up that AE 125 in my other pic too Rolling Eyes
dor123   [Aug 18, 2011 at 12:11 PM]
I understood the nasty thing that this gas station did: They turned a lighting fixture to a security camera viewpoint!!!!!! Never seen anything like that. Shocked
Security cameras should be hanged on the ceiling or on the wall, not as such.
GullWhiz   [Aug 18, 2011 at 02:24 PM]
Agreed!!!
rjluna2   [Aug 18, 2011 at 04:02 PM]
Not mentioned to that the security camera is not even weatherproofed Razz

What's going to happen when it falls apart? Keep me posted on that Smile

I think the lot used to be a gas station but it's a used truck lot now. This contraption was installed by the truck lot though.

If they really wanted to put camera's there they should have put in one of those camera poles instead of doing this. Rolling Eyes

That duct tape looks like it could fall at any time now. Shocked

Ooh, that's stylish. Why replace the expensive metal halide lamp & install an expensive outdoor camera housing when you can buy a cheap CCTV camera MV yard light & roll of duct tape for under $50 combined?

Laughing What's the model number then? Razz
TiCoune66   [Mar 13, 2012 at 04:03 AM]
Probably something like CR-AP30682/EUJ (Extra Useless Junk) Laughing

Well, there's one thing left to add:

joe_347V   [Jul 25, 2014 at 01:03 AM]
I wonder if this thing fell apart yet. Laughing The streetview from last year shows it falling apart.
streetlight98   [Jul 25, 2014 at 01:49 AM]
LOL Looks like the other one was left alone. I wonder if it still works and if the yardblaster works?
