Here is the LED lights that have begun to replace HID lighting in Easthampton. This 88 watt SAT-48S from LRL replaced a AEL 115 250 watt HPS last week. so long HID lighting in Easthampton. :(
the city of Easthampton is replacing 500 of it 1100 lights with these to. I took a night drive last weekend and they do not put out nearly as much light as the 250 hps that were there before.
Same with me, Vaughan changed out their HPS lights in industrial area to LED and the HPS was far better at night.
The LEDs have a spotty distribution and they are a bit glary.

Now I wouldn't mind an HID streetlight with changing color LEDs around the reflector and perhaps lined up to the arms...just for the fun!
