EEEEP not really a good looking one....although it reminds me a bit of the open bottom MV fixtures in my area....but still....EEEEP
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 07:56 PM]
yep 70% of Easthampton is now these. these are very ugly fixtures and they look so small compared to the 113/115's that used to be there.
streetlight98   [Oct 17, 2011 at 08:24 PM]
and the 115 wasn't even that old!!! Mad Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 08:25 PM]
16 months old to be exact.
streetlight98   [Oct 17, 2011 at 08:26 PM]
That's crazy. Rolling Eyes Mad Crying or Very sad Poor real street light got replaced by this hollow metal shell. Confused
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 08:30 PM]
If my company still owned these lights, the replacement from the original 113 would of been a M-250R2 since we don't use AEL. when Easthampton took them over they Installed 115's but now are big LED finatics. Rolling Eyes

That is one ugly looking streetlight. They should of left the previous fixture alone.
streetlight98   [Oct 17, 2011 at 09:26 PM]
indeed. these are Canadian made so they should outlast any imported LED crap.
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 09:44 PM]
We will see! Wink
joe_347V   [Oct 17, 2011 at 09:52 PM]
Ack! another one bites the dust. Rolling Eyes
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:29 PM]
The only lights that are not LED in town are on small side streets and the town and country post tops are still HPS. All main feeder roads and state highways are LED. Rolling Eyes
streetlight98   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:31 PM]
They'll be sorry when winter rolls in and kills the drivers. Rolling Eyes
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:35 PM]
I don't think that will happen, they do light the road it, it's just more directed at the road and less on homeowners yards. The 88 watt versions that are on the main highways defentely light the roads up much better than the 44 watt version.
streetlight98   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:38 PM]
I meant the LED drivers not motorists. Laughing
joe_347V   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:38 PM]
I'm still not quite convinced that the electronic drivers used are that durable when used outdoors.
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:40 PM]
Ahh, LOL! I am hoping for a mass failure rate to show the mayor who pushed for these that they were a waste of money! Laughing
joe_347V   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:41 PM]
Well, for what it's worth the electronic ballasts used in fluorescent lumes aren't what I call reliable.
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:43 PM]
Well they had 6 SAT-24S's up near the middle school up all last winter for the test pilot and all 6 survived the harsh winter we had. Only time will tell though.
streetlight98   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:47 PM]
Well, these were probably provided to the municipality as a grant to save energy. If these were bought by the city you better pray they last because it's over $1000 taxpayer dollars per light. Shocked Don't wish for them to screw with your tax money! I have a LRL brochure for the Satilite luminaire. I don't have a scanner to upload it though. Sad
Antstar85   [Oct 17, 2011 at 11:54 PM]
I've checked out thier website and looked at everything. Believe it or not, the SAT-24S are only $350. Shocked
