They are still made I want to get one, but just think how many were in the twin towers Shocked
streetlight98   [Jul 30, 2014 at 03:15 PM]
Oh cool! I didn't know they made U-Tubes in HO. Shocked
traffic light1   [Jul 30, 2014 at 04:35 PM]
VHO and HO, I know they had them as U bend forever now but was slow to know they they had them as I / line tubes
streetlight98   [Jul 30, 2014 at 09:03 PM]
You mean linear tubes?
traffic light1   [Jul 30, 2014 at 09:38 PM]
Yes thats the word I have my own names for them
NiMo   [Jul 30, 2014 at 10:36 PM]
Those HO lamps are designed specifically for sign use. There are even F102/HO linear lamps used for signs.
traffic light1   [Jul 31, 2014 at 12:02 AM]
Yes I know all the different u lamps even f120 u bend. So at some point someone put them in 2 by 2 u bend fixtures.

As weird as it sounds I have always wondered what lamps were in the WTC when 9/11 happened! Shocked Laughing
joe_347V   [Jul 31, 2014 at 09:06 AM]
Probably some mercs too, WTC was built in the late 60s so I guess there might have been some mercury recessed lights somewhere.
NiMo   [Jul 31, 2014 at 07:50 PM]
WTC was completed in 1973.

Yes the had MV in the main lobby. What was in the 44 and 77 sky labby? I would think MV too. so wow I would say about 300 MV lamps in the North tower, I don't know the South tower well. I did not study it for 9 years like the North.
joe_347V   [Aug 01, 2014 at 01:29 AM]
They started construction in the late 60s...
traffic light1   [Aug 01, 2014 at 01:31 AM]
Yes late 60s is good you are right.
streetlight98   [Aug 01, 2014 at 02:47 AM]
Such a shame that the towers were destroyed. Now we live in a paranoid world when we should just be killing them all off instead of trying to keep them out of the country. We're too nice to people. And eye for eye doesn't leave the world blind that's whay we have more than one. (well that and depth perception lol)
traffic light1   [Aug 01, 2014 at 11:30 AM]
RIGHT! Now NYC wants the towers rebuilt, New Orleans wants them too. I am making a model of them photos are on flickr it has bigger outer columns and 2 sets of them. I looked at the North tower for 9 years and they are nice buildings they are the only buildings that could stay up for 2h after it was hit by a 767 air craft.
This is god to watch on youtube "Inside The Twin Towers" It is very good
streetlight98   [Aug 01, 2014 at 05:14 PM]
Wow. I watched it. Shocked How idiotic of them not to evacuate the building! "When in doubt, GET OUT!" That's my motto. Laughing
traffic light1   [Aug 02, 2014 at 01:25 AM]
SCC ( 2 girls in North tower smoke came in their office) saved more lives than I can think of. They are the real star Exclamation Christine (on the 106 north tower with windows around the world) was a hero was well she did her best.
streetlight98   [Aug 02, 2014 at 02:58 AM]
I couldn't imagine being in that building when that happened. that guy that survived when the plane crashed right into his office: WOW! And the fireman and his uniw and the woman who survived when the north tower collapsed. Shocked very very lucky! Unfortunatley, not everyone was as lucky. The building engineer was a real trooper too. He stayed in that building that he had designed and helped many people escape. I was tearing up as i watched the whole thing.
A_lights   [Aug 02, 2014 at 03:18 PM]
