Yeah LED OVF don't sound bad.

Yes, the city of Springfield is planning a test somewhere in the city.

Bleh, I hope it dosen't lead to a LED mass install.

I have also found LED OVH's installed in Holyoke as well, those don't bother me as much because they still look like a streetlight!

if it looks like a cobra, i actually don't mind it for some installations.

The OVHs and OVYs don't look to bad but I have to wonder about the quality.

The qestion of quality renders in my mind to.... RI is going to start exploring LED In Cranston and Providence in the next couple years.

It's a matter if time mike before RI follows along with Massachusetts.

At least you can sneak a drop lens into a LED cobrahead.

Actually these you can't. The led strips are built into the door of the fixture. I looked at the OVF at work.

[Oct 04, 2011 at 02:09 AM]

Ugh what happened to user replaceable parts.

[Oct 04, 2011 at 02:11 AM]
There's absoulutly no way of putting in a drop lens? LEDs would do so much better with a refractor to distribut the light

[Oct 04, 2011 at 02:13 AM]
Probably because someone** said that drop lenses cause skyglow.
**IDA or equivalent

I absolutely hate IDA, there is no other way of describing how I feel about them.

[Oct 04, 2011 at 02:16 AM]
I say the hell with them. They're a bunch of misguiding people that don't want to go on a camping trip to see stars.
IDA has to be the biggest scam ever.
