A Rather Sad Sight
Here's a pile of cobra-bits, this is the [url=http://www.langleyutilities.com] company [/url] that I got some of my lights from. Mine were in the exact same spot as these pieces. As you can see it's a Street View shot taken [url=http://goo.gl/maps/pwE93] here. [/url] I'm hoping to go back there this fall and see what they have.

Theres a B2255 on the ground along with OVX's R47's and 125's on Dixie. Its extremely tempting but its too dam busy and im afraid some drivers in Brampton have to much time on they're hands and would somehow get me in trouble Rolling Eyes Where are these M400R2's anyways? Shocked
gailgrove   [Aug 26, 2013 at 11:34 PM]
Where are those lights on Dixie? The M400R2s are on Queen just east of Kennedy. They are literally within 10 feet of Queen, so getting without anyone noticing would be nearly impossible.
Model25FanForever   [Aug 26, 2013 at 11:38 PM]
The Dixie ones are here http://goo.gl/maps/eXFE8 there are some trucks, poles even a CGE ped signal (I don't know where that came from though), Torbram sign, those fixtures I mentioned and some traffic signals. except the ground is lower there now and thats an older streetview that little area there looks nothing like it does now.

yeah I'll be getting the two M-400A2s and the two mast arms they're on (6ft tapered ellipticals). It's in a parking lot with stores so i hop no one sees me. Shocked my mom had a change of heart apparently since she's letting me "steal" lol. she knew that i wanted them and know i tried to do it thr right way.

There are still an OVX, three M-400s (new ones) two more M-400A2s, an OV-50, an M-1000, and a few more RLGs that aren't being replaced yet. they will be though, i jsut dunno when. i will try and score on those if i can (not the M-400A2s or the OVX but definetly the OV-50 and M-1000 and maybe an RLG or two and an M-400 or two).

I might sell one of the M-400A2s. I don't need two identical lights but at the moment i don't know what i'll do with them yet. I dont even have them yet. I'll be leaving soon. As soon as it gets dark enough out. Cool it's overcast so it'll get dark a little sooner tonight...

Just go at night if you want to be less likely spotted Razz Our parents sound very similar they don't want me to steal but if something happens when I did the right thing they let me loose. Well good luck and I hope that you get your lights Very Happy

Ooh Confused Too bad about the lights but I hope you can get at least something, maybe the OV 50 when the time comes. Cool
streetlight98   [Aug 27, 2013 at 01:39 AM]
okay, i got myself two 1997 M-400A2s, originally wired at 277V but the new PSMH venture ballasts were wired at 240V... no arms only fixtures. The refractors bot have spider cracks on the outside which worries me since if you run your finger nail on the glass your nail gets caught, meaning the cracks are a good size but not all the way though. the glass is green like tempered glass too. i'm thinking of top-mounting the ballasts since the electrician didn't keep the plugs. the paint is actually word off on top... there are tiny bits of broken lamp inside and i got some glass particles on my fingers. Confused hurts like fiberglass... i'll hose them down if i have time tomorrow. They need it! pics when i get the chance. Cool

Great job Mike! Very Happy You got something good out of it though
lite_lover   [Aug 27, 2013 at 02:30 AM]
That's great that you were able to get the two M-400A2's before somebody else got them. Cool Did you decide not to get the arms?
gailgrove   [Aug 27, 2013 at 02:46 AM]
Glad you got something! I'd love an M400R2!
Model25FanForever   [Aug 27, 2013 at 02:49 AM]
M400R2's for me it would be worth the trouble
gailgrove   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:11 AM]
Well there's some on Queen Street. Laughing I should find out who owns the property, then again it looks like they might be put back up.
streetlight98   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:11 AM]
Thanks guys. yeah i'm glad i got the fixtures. One is going to Darren. I wanted the arms but the bolts holding them to the pole kept spinning and wouldn't come out and i knew it would be stupid to stay there and risk getting caught so i jsut gave up on the arms. I would have LOVED a couple of tapered e arms though. Sad i'll post pics now...
joe_347V   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:25 AM]
Ahh glad to know at least the M-400As were saved. Too bad about the M-1000 and the RLG but sounds like there's still some more of them still up.
gailgrove   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:27 AM]
Does Darren already have one? Laughing I'd like to get an arm too, I should be able to get one from a contractor around here.
Model25FanForever   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:28 AM]
@gailgrove Yeah depends on where, but that plaza with the clamshells has LED's there now.

@mike well as long as you got your fixtures its good Cool
streetlight98   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:33 AM]
Yep. One M-1000 still up, two M-400A2s still up, three M-400s up (new ones, two are factory PSMH), an OVX, a finned OV-50, and 3 or 4 more RLGs. I hope to strike lucky when those come down too. I really hate that i missed out on the M-1000s. I even opened one up to look inside. Well, it wasn't a total waste since i did get two lights out of the five...

darren has a M-400R2 and an M-400A but not an M-400A2.
gailgrove   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:34 AM]
It's directly across the road from that place, on the south side of Queen.
joe_347V   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:47 AM]
@Mike, Well, 2/5 aint that bad. Too bad someone had to take them though, I guess it was someone wanting to make a quick buck at the scrapper. Mad
I hope you can get some of the lights that are still up too.

@Niall, I guess you should buy a MTO truss arm from that guy on Kijiji. Razz
gailgrove   [Aug 27, 2013 at 03:55 AM]
I would, just my parents aren't so crazy about it. Laughing
