gailgrove   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:43 AM]
Nah, at least you can park a F450 in your driveway Laughing
streetlight98   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:45 AM]
My friend's dad has a F450 for his job. The thing is a monster.
gailgrove   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:48 AM]
Yeah, expensive too, the're about 80-90 thousand dollars!
Form109   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:50 AM]
if you think the F-450 is a Monster just take a Gander at the F-650! Shocked
gailgrove   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:52 AM]
Yeah, but it's a full sized truck, not a pickup.
Form109   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:57 AM]
Well technically the Ford F-450 is a Full Size Truck as well, and they make Pickup Conversions for the F-650.
streetlight98   [Jun 24, 2011 at 01:58 AM]
My friend's dad's F-450 isn't a pick up truck. It's practically a tow truck.
lite_lover   [Jun 24, 2011 at 02:58 AM]
I want a F450 too Smile Awesome truck. Yeah they are expensive... I would have to produce an awful lot of nursery stock and service many fixtures first. Crying or Very sad

Speaking of cars makes me remember that 1988 Dodge Aries my parents had when I was 6 LOL.

EDIT: Darn Joe stole me the 50th comment! :C

joe_347V   [Jun 24, 2011 at 05:05 AM]
This has to be the most commented pic here, it even has more posts than most of the forum topics too Laughing

EDIT: My GoL email folder got flooded with notifications regarding this pic Laughing

It's just that it was a gross shoebox that grabbed all of the attention rather than a cobrahead. Mad Laughing
gailgrove   [Jun 24, 2011 at 02:38 PM]
And it's mostly not even about the shoe box Laughing
Form109   [Jun 24, 2011 at 09:53 PM]
lol that's true niall Laughing

the shoebox is not gross to me...it's just a boring plain design that's just bleh, and what makes it worse is the color...brown is the color of something we won't mention.

i think even the most boring cobrahead is alot more exciting than a Shoebox...even a durastar has more character! Rolling Eyes

Those aren't really labeled as brown, but labeled as bronze, really.....the shoeboxes became very common and considered "modern" in the mid to late 70s. They became popular use as downtown lights along with boxy poles for traffic light systems as well (with squared framing part of poles around traffic lights) and some did take over cities.....Those still seems to be common for parking lot lights, but instead of bronze colors in my area seems to be grey or white colors. For public roads and downtowns, those aren't so common anymore, now days its the tear drop and decorative designs, like the olden days...One of the first cities I have sorta seen replace shoeboxes with teardrops (fairly early) is Silver Spring Down town that replaced HPS shooeboxes and HPS squarish sphere clear glass posttops with those Atlanta Style teardrops with MH and MH acorn posttops....And to make this interesting...each teardrops had its own photocells!
