Ehh. Two HPS.
Testing out a couple of Sylvania HPS lamps, the one on the left is a old GTE from 1992 while the one on right is from 2008 but might still be full mercury since the Ecologic logo is missing from the box. Ballasts are identical Advance 70w chokes with integrated ignitor.

Oh and in case you're wondering where the title came from, it's from Mike's [url=http://www.galleryoflights.org/mb/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-9370]comment on this pic[/url] xD.

I could try but I'd have to use my old IS ballast rig to run the second one.
MercuryVapor175   [Feb 19, 2012 at 03:41 AM]
It would work, just the specs have to be right.
joe_347V   [Feb 19, 2012 at 03:43 AM]
Yep, runs up almost like on the magnetic.

Anyone want to list the lighting stuff you see in this pic? Razz
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 01, 2012 at 07:55 PM]
Sure
Philips 100w MV lamp
Sylvania 70w HPS
Philips LED
Another Sylvania 70w HPS
GE REVEAL and desk lamp
2 HPS ballasts and their lamps
and a few unidentifiable items
joe_347V   [Apr 01, 2012 at 11:15 PM]
Yep you got some of them, there's also the 100w MV BT 25 Sylvania, a 100w Sylvania E17 box containing a 100w Grandlite clear MV, and a CGE three way.
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 01, 2012 at 11:18 PM]
That is what the unidentifiable things were. I like your new avatar, what's up with the 'permanently banned" ranking you have now?
joe_347V   [Apr 01, 2012 at 11:58 PM]
That's a gag rank for today. Razz
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 12:02 AM]
LOL. Oh, I get it. Is your new profile pic a new version of the last one? The mounting arm and pole look the same!
joe_347V   [Apr 02, 2012 at 12:06 AM]
Nope it's a joke DSA friendly version for today, the MV blaster will be up and running soon.
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 12:27 AM]
Oh, I am excited for that! By the way, what did you guys do for Earth Hour last night? I started a topic in the forums on here and Lighting Gallery if you want to tell me there! Very Happy
gailgrove   [Apr 02, 2012 at 12:58 AM]
I can't find the post. Confused Anyways since the rest of my family wanted to participate, Rolling Eyes I took my two headed 200 watt incandescent floor light, and shone it out my bedroom window. Then I went to the basement and lit the following lights, 35 watt HPS, two 250 watt HPS, a 70 watt HPS, a 400 watt MH and my 1kW HPS lamp.
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 01:11 AM]
It's in "lamps-modern" and is called something like "what did you guys do for Earth Hour?"
MercuryVapor175   [Apr 02, 2012 at 01:14 AM]
There is one by 'xmaslightsguy' in General Discussion too called earth hour...what did u do
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 01:21 AM]
will have to look, then.
joe_347V   [Apr 02, 2012 at 02:16 AM]
Well, I actually forgot Earth Hour until halfway through Rolling Eyes which is when I switched on my 100w MV R47, and my 160w SBMV, my 2XF32T8 preheat wrap was already running. Razz
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 02:19 AM]
You ca run F32 T8 on preheat? Wow! I didn't know that!
joe_347V   [Apr 02, 2012 at 02:21 AM]
Yep! you have to use a single lamp NPF F30/40 ballast, and for the starter either FS4 and FS12 should work.
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 02:22 AM]
Cool! What about on rapid start?
joe_347V   [Apr 02, 2012 at 02:24 AM]
Of course! The early T8s were actually rapid start lamps than ran on special T8 rapid start ballasts. Very Happy
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Apr 02, 2012 at 02:30 AM]
Wow!
