Hmm I think the utility in LA could be using these to fit into the existing series lights? I don't like HPS much but I'd be happy to see these oldies stay in service.

I saw some 70w PMH adapters in the contractors truck. They put some in the residential area, on the series circuit.

These are used in the post top acorns in Santa Ana, CA
@ Aron, they have isolation transformer ballast, so no effect on the rest of the set.
