These were still new back then! Long gone now. Sad

Yesss, I hate LED

Me too. It's killing off all HID technologies (actually all technologies besides itself) faster than HPS killed off mercury vapor. Sad Rolling Eyes

I don't mind the LEDs as much as I mind the fact that they're taking over every aspect of lighting instead of just having their niche. Nature likes balance, or so they say... I like the white light much more than the orange glow, so on the freeways I welcome the LEDs since RIDOT just used boring FCO HPS lights. I will miss the wood-pole HPS and MV lights though, which I get to look at more. On the freeway at 75MPH, you hardly notice the ugly LED fixtures, so I like them on the freeway since they have white light.

I do miss the drop lens HPS RIDOT lights though, like the M-400R2s on I-95 in Warwick and Cranston and the Cooper OVMs on Rte 37.

I am a 60s type of guy Lol. Led is good for emergency lighting and flashlights Smile and that is almost it, Good for fire alarms too
