i don't think it'lleven strike. Don't 1000W HPS lamps use a different ignitor than the lower wattage lamps?
joe_347V   [Feb 08, 2013 at 02:00 AM]
I think they use a 5 kV ignitor whereas other HPS lamps use a 4 kV one. I noticed that they have two kinds of 4 kV ignitors too, one for 55v (35-150w) lamps and the other for 100v lamps (150-400w).

They also need a 5 kV pulse rated socket too, most regular sockets are only rated to 4 kV pulse.

I don't think it would even light either,I will have to drive by there again after it's dark.
