I think the HD in Canada stopped selling TCP CFLs in 2004 or 2005. All I see now are Philips CFLs.

I see more TCP then Philips around here...usually sold under home depots ecosmart brand

How many watts was this lamp? Are higher wattage CFLs more likely to have a melt down?

This one's a 13 watt, not sure if higher wattages cause more of a meltdown...although I had some 13 watt greenlite CFLs literally burst into flames at EOL!
