This intersection of B2255's, about half of them in the city are right here. There are also R47's, R37's,OVX's,and B2255's on the other upsweeps . I like the arms of them
The long s arms (as opposed to the 8' one) are getting quite rare too, Toronto used to have a ton of them but they were removed in the 90s when HPS came in.
They are still coming down by the dozen or more every year. They put in all new tapered e arms that are different ranges of '. The only ones left here have either R37, R47, OVX, or 115 and this only B2255. The Model 25 at Queen and Mclaughlin which survived all the construction there several years ago. It still lights at night. This Model 25, but its arm is a little bit different.
In Toronto they were used with old MV clamshells and Westy OV-25 remote lumes. I think the s arms are still made but only the 8' model ever gets installed now.
They aren't installed around here anymore they are coming down like crazy. My mom has some pictures of toronto with those arms MV clamshells and MV gumballs http://goo.gl/maps/iRwWA <-- the model 25 arm
Cool, I actually have an old gumball that was the same model as what Toronto used to use. IIRC the gumballs used both MV and incandescent back in the day. I'm glad they decided to keep the same look downtown by using MH gumballs and new s arms though.
Would be interested in seeing the pics if you have a scanner handy.
hey guys, check out the random placements of new massive upsweep arms with OVF's on Highway 50 that divides our cities! I think it represents the new version of the S arm!
Sadly this B2255 on the left has been OVX'd. I noticed that it wasn't cycling properly in the past months but I guess someone (not me) reported it. I'd hate to report a B2255, 25, or Unidoor here.
Ugh, I guess if the light just started cycling it would be worthwhile to report it since they'll probably relamp it but if you let it cycle for too long and kill the ignitor, they'll OVX it.
