The hall light in my apartment with a clear 60 watt incandescent "burnt out" or so I thought...the wiring is fried! Enough to keep it from working! The lamp is fine!
The back of the socket arced a bit when I removed the lamp...I got a really bad third degree burn when I was very young due to a shorted socket...hot and neutral were shorted from the center contact touching the outer part of the lamp base when it was relamped by me. That's why I didn't mess with it after...
Do you mean 1st degree burn? 3rd degree burns are the most severe and i think your loose feeling in that area with a 3rd degree burn since the nerves get fried too. I've gotten shocked a lot but I'm always afraid of getting shocked.
My doctor said it was third degree do I believe him? Not particularly. .. it was probably more of a second degree burn...had to go to the hospital for it. ..
Was the light rated for 60w bulbs?
