New York City two-section traffic signal in service
This photograph, in which was taken in the borough of Queens in New York City, shows a four-way traffic signal cluster manufactured by the Marbelite company in service. Early 1960s. Prior to repaint, in which the original color was dark olive green (though not shown here in black and white).

What is also shown here is the classic overlap, and both signal indications (red and green) appear lit for a handful of seconds before the green signal indication terminates. An old form of caution for motorists, in which is no longer in existence in New York City.

Nice, and look at that beautiful SILVERLINER OV25 in the background.
