Vintage N.Y.C. signal equipment

At the corner of Orchard St. and Delancey St. in lower Manhattan, New York. 1980. The incandescent Marbelite LPS-20 and bulky neon pedestrian signals from Winko-Matic were in their final years at the time this photograph was taken, since a citywide removal of all existing bi-modal pedestrian signals (all neon and incandescent) would begin in less than two years. These would be replaced by the incandescent 16" Winko-Matic VI 2L pedestrian signals by around 1985.
