One of my best vintage finds yet!

I found an old photo of either Queen street or Main street in Downtown Brampton in April of 1982. I think its Queen Street IMO. The whole stretch was likely lit by B2255's and Model 25's. Now there are only 2 of these concrete poles with the very short arms unfortunately which have been OVX'd over the years, and one that still sported a B2255 until recently when it was replaced by a longer arm and new pole with an OVX back in January/early February.

This is for sure Main Street, the standard trust company depicted is now The Pita Pit. I saw a shot somewhere that included traffic signals as well, span braced arms IIRC.
Any guess to why they left the odd random high concrete poles in place?
Im trying to find that photo again, I have seen it before, it was I believe the Northwest corner of Queen and Main there were CGE traffic signals on double guy arms. Il keep looking for it though.
I really don't know why tbh. Why replace perfect poles and fixtures for little post tops
I wish I could see the streetscapes from 2000 and prior to that. I never find much
The B2255 in this pic was probably a merc. The one that was just removed was HPS.
