Route 6 Before N' After: Bird's Eye View
The "after" in this pic isn't current. This was before the new LED poles were put up and before they rebuilt the on-ramp where the curve is (the off-ramp will not be rebuilt, thus eliminating the need for a bridge. The nixed off-ramp is not necessary anyway because motorists can get off at the Hartford Ave exit (top right of the pic), take a right, take another right, and end up on the same street. The extra ramp did mor eharm than good, creating back-ups from people switching lanes and stuff (I'm prett sure USDOT doesn't allow left-lane ramps in new construction so RIDOT has been tring to get rid of the preexisting ones as construction becomes necessary.
