RIDOT installed some Holophane Mongoose lights along I-95 a few months back. They are now functioning and the old davits are still functioning as well. They haven't gotten to removing the old lights I guess. The davits on the shoulders are almost all gone though from knockdowns over the years (there is one on the right though). The lights originally alternated between median and shoulder. Pretty much just the median davits are left.
Little stubby looking things, just like our D.V.P and Gardiner Expressway. I assume these are HPS? Or they LED like what RIDOT's doing down there with the switchout
These are HPS and they're still going up. My friend Marco (has connections with RIDOT) said these were supposed to be LED and he doesn't know why they used HPS. These ugly things are no better than LEDs lol.
