THROWBACK THURSDAY RIDOT: Shot of the Providence Viaduct (I-95) On Opening Day
|
This is when the Providence Viaduct first opened to traffic in 1964. Those are OV-25 flatbottoms! Or maybe transition fixtures with the single door and forward PC socket. This is what it looks like today. However, they're in the process of entirely redoing the 50-year-old interchange, as it is aging and was not designed for the traffic load it carries today.
