I like the ballast housing on this...is it tar potted like a WideLite flood is?
Oh and BTW...I see what I think are 8ft slimlines. Is this your garage, Darren?
I like the housing on this too, looks nicer than the rectangle shape of the Cooper's. It is an unpotted housing, yep those are 8ft slimlines, this is in my shop area.
The lamp looks so small in there lol. My Holophane Prismalumes require ED/BT37 lamps since the arc tube of ED/BT28 lamps ends up being above the glass shade, as there's like 6" of space between the glass shade and the ballast housing in my six fixtures.
Nice, how are they in terms of brightness and "flicker"?
And the MH fires up OK on the (I assume MV) ballast? Or has the ballast been replaced at some point?
@ Andy: They are pretty bright, but not quite as bright as the Daylight lamps, the fixtures have electronic ballasts, the lamps start instantly without any flicker. The MH fires up fine, the fixture has an Advance replacement ballast,it originally was a single tap 347V MH.
@ Mike: Yes the OEM ballast was a MH single tap 347V.

I remember seeing these fixtures in stores back in the 90s. I didn't know the design went back to 1968 though.
