12 inch 100 watt recessed square fixture
I've had the Holophane glass and door frame seen here for a while, and I found a recessed square fixture close to the right dimensions for it. I modified the fixture so that it would fit. I am running a 100 watt clear mercury vapor lamp in it with a remote ballast. It was originally incandescent, but thanks to the wonders of the remote ballast, we can fix that!

Hmm any chance that came from me??? I know the glass is different....

Definitely not the same fixture. Yours was a 9 inch while this glass and door frame were 12 inches making the fit practically impossible. However, the fixture you sent is still here and might be good for PL-L conversion at some point.
