Sylvania 52W SuperSaver Inside Frost Slimlite A17 Incandescent Lamp

Here is an oddball, super rare incandescent bulb! These were Sylvania's 'Slimlite' line of bulbs, which, as the name implies, were slimmer (though not shorter) than a standard bulb. These were A17 versus the standard A19. I'm not sure what the advantage of these was, other than fitting in a few more fixtures. Sylvania offered them in both standard wattage and energy-saving versions like this one. I think these were a product of the 1970s or 1980s, but Sylvania would re-release the A17 shape as a line of halogen general-purpose bulbs sometime in the 2000s. I have a pack of the 29W version of those.

This particular Slimlite bulb is the 52W SuperSvaer version, which seems exceptionally rare, even more so than the standard ones. It is inside frosted and has a nice vertical filament! This was a VERY lucky find at a ReStore a few weeks ago!
