Allen Road - Then and Now
Here's a pic of some HPS davit lights on Allen road, The GE M-400A2 in the front was installed in the early '90s and replaced LPS lights that were also mounted on the same poles. Over time some of the GE's from the original retrofit were replaced with other lights.

Note the mercury posttop lighting the subway tracks which were installed in the late 70s when the Spadina Line was built. Similar fixtures (installed in the late 60s) remain on the easterly sections of the Bloor-Danforth Line. Also of note are the Philips LPS lumes installed in the mid 70s which replaced the original 1960s Powerlite fluorescent fixtures.

Yep I`ve been along there many times, it seems the new fixture of choice is the (new) GE M400A, but it would be nice if they simply replaced the Power-Doors Rolling Eyes I think there full-cutoff because it cuts down on the glare for the subway drives.
