I like this, even though all the original nickel coating is worn away exposing the copper undercoat. It could be recoated to make it look like near new, but would destroy it's value, though it would restore functionality.

There's no original nickle on it....there's an etched label on it that says "Solid Copper!"

This is after you went to McDonald's and saw that messed up light fixture! You're gonna polish it to a nice copper shine?
GullWhiz   [Sep 28, 2010 at 03:46 AM]
This was DURING me sitting on the McDonald's table...I was already done with the fries..but haven't taken a bite of the burger (notice it's still closed) I had that flashlight for about a month already...I happened to have it in my backpack.....I was eating before my college class!

And nope...gonna leave it the way it is....even my friend who owns a polishing shop and has given me cool old electrical stuff told me so too...

Cool looking Flashlight, yes you are best leaving it alone as polishing or cleaning it will affect the value, if anythin only give it a clean with light soapy water and oil the contacts, switch and threading to avoind sezure, corrosion, nad poor contacts between the batteries Bulb and switch.

All the Best
